Lock In

Duration: 17 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Radio UlsterLatest broadcast: on BBC Radio Foyle

When Noel Lockhart is imprisoned for a white collar crime, his son Rory has to take over the running of The Ship, a rundown bar on a Derry/Londonderry council estate.
This pilot episode sees Rory reluctantly trying to run The Ship while Noel is doing time in prison. Noel pressurises Rory to smuggle something “special” in for Lorenzo, the boss of the prison. Will Rory risk his own liberty for his Dad’s safety? As usual a deal with Noel isn’t what it seems. This is the story of a father and son, separated by prison walls, wrestling with modern life, love, money, the law and each other while stuck behind different bars.

Starring Conleth Hill as Noel, Thomas Finnegan as Rory, and Dan Gordon as Morris.

Written by Matthew McDevitt and developed with BBC Writersroom.
