My Life, My Song
A special Omnibus presentation of a concert performance of auto-biographical songs, written and composed by Tommy Steele.
In an interview with MELVYN BRAGG , he talks about his life from birth in Bermondsey, London, in 1936, through childhood, the Merchant Navy and showbusiness to hopes for the future. The song titles, prefaced in this programme by Tommy Steele 's own paintings, are the ' chapter headings ' of the autobiography.
