Baron Frankenstein is experimenting to prove that the soul survives the body after death-using his own frozen body to prove his theory. The execution of his young assistant Hans, and the suicide of Hans's sweetheart Christina, provides the Baron with the opportunity to develop his research in a new, macabre direction.
