In the summer of 1656, Captain Edmund Rogers is ordered to lead a detachment of dragoons into Wales to hunt down a band of outlaws-the Company of the Locket, led by Red Owain. Edmund captures Catrin, Red Owain 's daughter, and locks her up in the town tail. But Catrin has aroused bad feeling bv taking a so-called witch under her protection and a hostile crowd gathers outside the tail There is a crv of Fire!
