William Christie has brought a breath of fresh air to Baroque music with his group Les Arts Florrisants. We have heard his revolutionary Rameau and shining Charpentier. Now he turns to Handel's Rodelinda, which he is conducting at Glyndebourne later this week. Humphrey Carpenter catches up with him during rehearsals in deepest Sussex. Music includes Prokofiev, part of Purcell's King Arthur, and, at about 6.40, Gershwin's An American in Paris.
