1945: in the sweltering heat of the Burmese jungle, the officers and men of an RAF station are increasingly disturbed by the strange behaviour of Squadron Leader Forrester. After meeting Anna, a beautiful Burmese girl, Forrester is seemingly a changed man. But his life is to take a nightmare turn when a routine flight is struck by disaster.
Gregory Peck is the embittered Forrester in this powerful adaptation of H. E. Bates's novel.
