Abusyeveningin Victoria continues with the 100-metres final taking centre stage.
Linford Christie will be aiming to add to his personal collection of gold medals by retaining the
Commonwealth title he won in Auckland four years ago. The final starts at 10.25.
But the lOOmetresisjustone of nine medals at stake in the athletics arena. In the women's
3,000 metres, at 11.45,
Scotland's Yvonne Murray will be bidding to go one better than the second place and silver medal she won in Auckland.
There are also the finals of both men's and women's metres, the women's metres. the men's 3,000-metres steeplechase and the women's discus. In addition there will be another chance to see the men's 110-metres hurdles final, run earlier this evening.
Meanwhile in the swimming heats, England's Mark Foster lines up in the men's 50-metres freestyle as he attempts to add Commonwealth gold to his
World short-course title. Martin Harris
, another English medal hope, is in the men's 100-metres backstroke heats.
The programme includes a roundup of other action. including medals being decided in both shooting and weightlifting.
