Sir ERNEST J. P. BENN , Bart., C.B.E.
In this series, which commences this evening, thirteen speakers have been asked to give their ideas of those aspects of freedom which seem to them characteristically British in virtue of the particular outlook and experience of each.
It is not a political series in the sense of party politics, but political views will naturally be represented, as will the Church, the Law, Industry, Letters, and so forth, and a distinguished foreigner now residing in England is to be included in the list.
This evening Sir Ernest Benn , the well-known publisher, is to open the series. As a man who is both individualist and capitalist, man of letters as well as business man, President of the East End Hostels as well as President of the British Export Society, Chairman of a number of companies as well as being both an author and publisher, his views should be interesting.
