Ten Million Can't Be Wrong

on BBC Radio 2

2/4. In this decidedly populist approach to pop and rock, Kate Thornton slams the door on the critics to celebrate four relatively uncool albums that have struck a chord with the public and sold more than ten million copies. She continues with Michael Bolton's Grammy-winnng, R&B-styled MOR hit Time, Love and Tenderness, which includes the singles Love Is a Wonderful Thing, Time, Love and Tenderness and, controversially, a cover of Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman. Bolton recalls writing with Diane Warren and Bob Dylan.
