There are two Mary Macarchuc Holiday Homes-one at Poulron-le-Fylde, near Blackpool, and one at Stansted, Essex— which provide restful holidays for working women who could not otherwise afford a holiday. The ma:n object of the Homes is to provide a necessary rest to prevent illness. Visitors come from all parta of the British Isles, and include mothers and housewives as well as girls and women who are earning their livingtn every conceivable occupation They pay what they can afford, but approximately £ 7,000 has to be raised annually from voluntary sources to meet the costs of running the Homes.
