Artists performing at the festival include: Swedish soprano Elisabeth Soderstrom; renowned German choreographer and dancer Pina Bausch; conductor Klaus Tennstedt; and authentic flamenco dancer Christina Hoyos.
Events range from the opening concert of Schoenberg's Moses and Aaron to late-night musical entertainments at the Lyceum and a trilogy of Greek plays at the Corn Exchange.
