A supreme craftsman with a unique inventive gift and richness of imagination, Roberto Gerhard (1896-1970) was born in Spain and studied there with Granados and Pedrell.
Later, following studies with Schoenberg, he settled in Cambridge. His works are strikingly modernist, the musical siblings of the art of Dali and Miro.
