Tom Lincoln buys a young dog from a man in a bar, he doesn't know he has been sold a dingo pup. As Dusty grows up, Tom teaches him to herd sheep, but his wild blood sometimes gets the better of him. This touching, unsentimental story is beautifully filmed in the northern Victoria outback of Australia.
