West Coast in the early 50s after the break up of both the STAN KENTON and the WOODY HERMAN bands. The result was a startling variety of jazz, performed and written with exceptional skill by musicians SUCh as GERRY MULLIGAN
SHORTY ROGERS , ART PEPPER and SHELLY MANNE.
