The Thundercats are escaping from their doomed planet, Thundera, when it is announced that Lion-O is to be given the 'sword of Omens' which holds the source of the Thundercats' power. Suddenly the ship is attacked by their enemies, the evil Mutants. This leads to many battles between good and evil.
