Kaleidoscope Feature: The Pierrotters on Tour

on BBC Radio 4 FM

This summer, British seaside resorts have been graced with a unique band of entertainers. The Pierrotters, formed in 1983 by Tony Lidington, are the last professional pierrot troupe in Britain and continue a tradition which started at the Victorian seaside. Uncle Tacko, Mr Macko, Dirty Doctor Dacko, Sir
Squacko and the Boy Gacko take us on a tour of Filey, Sidmouth and Brighton. A Pier production. Repeated Friday at 9.30pm
