Jackanory: The Cruise of the 'Happy-Go-Gay': 1: Buying a Boat

on BBC One London

by Ursula Moray Williams
with George Benson

"That's the boat I mean", said Aunt Hegarty as they came to the end of the dock. Her nieces could see nothing except a dirty-looking funnel sticking up from behind a shed. It was the funnel of an old ferry-boat, the Happy-Go-Gay, that was to take them on their exciting voyage to the South Seas.
