Probably the world's greatest virtuoso of the violin in swing music is Stephane Grappelly , who was at one time with the famous Quintette du Hot Club de France. There, indeed, with the great Django Rcinhardt , he made his reputation not only in France but in this country, to which many of the ' Hot Club ' programmes were broadcast. Now the personnel of the Hot Club Quintette is scattered, and Grappelly is in this country playing with his own quintet for broadcasting.
