After losing most of his men in a disastrous submarine action against the German battleship Lindendorf, Lt-Cmdr John Bolton is accused of incompetence. Cleared by a court of inquiry, he is given command of the Royal Navy's newest secret weapon - the X-class miniature submarine. His target: the Lindendorj.
