A farewell to one of London's intimate theatres by Dame Sybil Thorndike
The Little Theatre was opened in 1910 under Gertrude Kingston's management. It was damaged in the first world war, but was repaired and is-opened in 1920. Further damage was done during the recent war, and it has since been decided to pull down the theatre. Dame Sybil Thorndike , who was the star of the Grand Guignot seasons at the Little from 1920 to 1922, gives some reminiscences of this theatre. She is at present appearing in ' Treasure Hunt ' at the Apollo Theatre, London.
