Tonight's pianist is a Yorkshireman, born near Bingley. After playing piano accompaniments from the age of eight, he started his dance-music career when he was sixteen.
He was once a worker in the weaving department of the Saltaire mills, which contributed many operatives to the broadcast programme on wool four weeks ago. At present he is engaged as a pianist in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.
