Night Waves

on BBC Radio 3

Vladimir Nabokov was not only one of the greatest writers of the 20th century but also an acclaimed lepidopterist. As a new collection of his letters, diaries and scientific writings is published, Philip Dodd is joined by Martin Amis and by Nabokov's son and translator Dmitri Nabokov, in front of an audience at the RSA in London, to discuss Nabokov's twin passions for books and butterflies. Plus first-night news from tonight's opening of Terry Johnson's stage adaptation of The Graduate, with Kathleen Turner as Mrs Robinson.
