Her Majesty is accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel, Grenadier Guards HRH The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, and HRH The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards
The parade is the tribute by the Household Division to their Sovereign and Colonel-in-Chief, and is the most complex and spectacular military event of the year. The Queen's Colour of the 1ST BATTALION, COLDSTREAM GUARDS is being trooped. The parade, by tradition, is in five parts:
The Inspection of the Line
The six Guards and Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry are inspected by The Queen. The Troop by the Massed Bands and Corps of Drums of the Guards Division.
Trooping the Colour through the ranks. The March Past by the Guards Division in slow and quick time. The Rank Past by the Household Cavalry at the walk and at the trot. Music played by the MOUNTED BANDS OF THE MASSED
