6: School Concern Project In Salford, a two-year venture uniting the Education Department, the Social Services Department and the Community Service Volunteers is well under way.
Inspired by the work some schoolchildren had done in creating aids for the handicapped, the project is exploring the possibilities of making the work part of the school curriculum, and the mutual benefits to be derived by both handicapped and able-bodied alike.
