From the very beginning of the 1972 Munich Olympics, Belarusian gymnast Olga Korbut won the hearts of the world. Through rivalry, disaster and tears, Korbut went on to Olympic triumph, taking home three gold medals. But events of far greater gravity were taking place elsewhere: Idi Amin 's expulsion of Ugandan Asians, the Watergate scandal and unrest in prisons across the UK. Producer Laurence Grissell
