1/3. One of the most important novels of the 20th century, James Joyce 's Ulysses is set on Bloomsday- 16 June 1904. Three Joyce enthusiasts celebrate the day's centenary by revisiting the book and its author.
Joyce's Women. Author Edna O'Brien explores the fictional and real women in Joyce's life, from his mother ("he loved her with the same fervour as he had loved the Virgin Mary , women without stain") to Molly Bloom ("all rhapsody and appetite, her sexual odyssey a torrent of desire, drollery and acumen").
