Mr. Hoste was coming home from China by the Trans-Siberian Railway in 1910 when a lady who 'claimed to be psychic' told him he had a Chinese guardian angel. The evidence seemed to prove her right when in 1917, in France, he found himself confronting a riot among Chinese labourers.
