This month is a month of movement in the countryside. The birds and animals are moving about, looking for a place to settle in for the winter. The crops are moved from the fields to safe storage places. Sheep and cows go to fairs and markets, changing farms at the end of the farming year. Even men move from one farm to another at Michaelmas. Very little changes at Cowleaze, though.....
