Peter Brook 's is one of the most influential and inventive careers in contemporary theatre. Paul Allen talks to him about a life spent pushing out the boundaries of art and drama and about his own account of an extraordinary career - his new memoir Threads of Time. In the sixties and seventies, his work became increasingly radical and international, and he went on to stage one of the theatrical events of the century - the Indian religious epic The Mahabharata.
