Jatinder Verma. In five programmes this week writer and director JatinderVerma charts the progress of the production of his latest play from the initial conception to the start of a national tour. Verma founded
Tara Arts - Britain's first Asian theatre company- in 1976 and has since directed and written most of their productions. His latest play, Genesis, tells the epic story of the building of the East African Railway by 30,000 Punjabi migrants, which laid the foundation of modern East Africa.
