Saxon Churches
One specialist strand of archaeology today involves the study of churches. In recent years archaeologists have been able to show that parts of the original Saxon buildings still remain. Malcolm Billings visits several ancient churches with Dr Warwick Rodwell to discover their Saxon origins.
