Officers and men of the Merchant Navy congregate at two Merchant Navy Clubs, one in London and one in Bristol, to take part in their own weekly programme. At the Seamen's Institute, Bristol, George Ralston interviews the Lord Mayor of Bristol,
' local celebrities, seamen and wives, and presents a Bristol star, Randolph Sutton , under the direction of Leslie Bridgmont. In London, Doris Hare is in charge as usual, with Debroy. Semers and his Orchestra.' In both places the BBC runs a party for the Merchant Navy and their guests, women of the Services. Presented by Howard Thomas.
