Hollywood Ladies: Ava Gardner in One Touch of Venus

on BBC One London

Also starring Robert Walker.

Eddie Hatch, a department-store window dresser, kisses a statue of Venus in a moment of sheer impulsiveness. Amazingly, the beautiful sculpture comes alive and - being the goddess of love - becomes totally enamoured of him.
Life is further complicated by a jealous fiancee and by the store owner, who wants his priceless statue returned to its pedestal.
Ava Gardner brings Venus to life in this sparkling comedy fantasy.
