Silver Jubilee A Day of Celebration

on BBC One London

Today the Nation together with the rest of the Commonwealth honours Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her
Silver Jubilee, and pays tribute to her and to HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, for 25 years of devoted service.
As the congregation assembles at St Paul's Cathedral and members of the Royal Family gather at Buckingham Palace for the Jubilee Procession, BBC outside broadcast cameras bring today's historic events to the world.
The Queen, Prince Philip, The Prince of Wales, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and other members of the Royal Family ride in State through London for a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's.
After the Service, The Queen and Prince Philip walk from the Cathedral to Guildhall, meeting members of the public gathered along the route. Following Luncheon at Guildhall, the Lord Mayor proposes the Health of The Queen. Her Majesty, in reply, speaks to the Commonwealth before returning in procession to Buckingham Palace.
