Dr B's restaurant in Harrogate, was set up by child-care charity Barnardo's 20 years ago, long before celebrity chefs used the discipline of the kitchen to kick-start the lives of disadvantaged youngsters. It offers two-year apprenticeships to young people with special learning needs and difficulties - but does it work? Peter White talks to some of its trainees. Producer Sue Mitchell
