Look Stranger: Daffodils, Bullion and Steam

on BBC Two England

The Cornish landscape artist Mary Martin rarely paints outside the Parish of St Dominick in the Tamar Valley, where her family can be traced back for six generations.

She works all the year round in the open air, even in the depths of winter when watercolours freeze on the paper. Her paintings convey a deep innate understanding of nature and a passion for the landscape she records.
