A programme for children under five
Many of our under-fives seem to have enjoyed the story by Dorothy Edwards about the little sister who went fishing with the older children and fell into the stream when no one was looking, and some of them, like Oliver Twist , have asked for more. This week, therefore, on Wednesday, they may hear about another of her escapades, this time at a Christmas party! This is the fourth and last week during which our broadcasts have their inspiration in ideas and activities of the Christmas season. ' The Wooden Horse * by Violet Statham to be heard today, and ' The Lonely Snowman ' by Ursula Mourihane to be heard on Thursday are stories of happiness achieved through kindly actions. romorrow we go to the circus in a story by Magiret Wa'lace called ' Tumpy the Circus Elephant,' and on Friday we have another tale. 'Toast for Tea ' by Joan Cass , about a party, a cosy homely little affair, which prepares us for next week's return to stories of everyday life. Elizabeth .4. Taylor
