Bob Pegg sings his ballad sequence about a Viking abandoned on a raid on the East coast of Yorkshire, and later journeying inland to his death. The sequence charts the history of the battle, his subsequent encounters, and the final fate of his bones. Music and penny whistle accompaniment for the ballad-which was first commissioned by the Ilkley Festival for performance there in May - is by Bob Pegg himself.
