Donald Macleod is joined by Russian music expert David Fanning to look at Prokofiev's current reputation: how the reception of some key works has been affected by the composer's attitude towards the Soviet regime during his lifetime and the vagaries of the Stalinist stance towards him. They also look at the performers and conductors who have championed his music in recent years.
