Overwhelmed by the senseless horrors of the Vietnam War, newspaperman
John Converse decides to register his opposition by means of a desperate act. He draws his buddy Ray Hicks and his wife Marge into a scheme to ship a consignment of heroin to the United States. Their plan backfires and Converse finds the violence of Vietnam has been destructively brought home.
