A Tale of Iron by KEN MIYAMOTO
A new production of the Italia Prize-winning play and with CLIFFORD NORGATE and ANDREW SEEAR
In 1871 the first steam locomotive in Japan, English-built, made its first run. In 1975, steam finally gave way to electric and diesel. Because there were so many steam-train buffs in the country, the railways organised farewell celebrations. The action of this play takes place during the course of a farewell run.
