Productions by Betty Davies and Eileen Cullen Mrs. Date writes:
Last week was very trying! Mother was obviously worrying about something but wouldn't admit it. Then an awkward situation arose because Margaret Cunningham came to see Jim while Sally was here, and I was forced to ask her to have tea with us. Sally managed to behave well and drove Margaret back to town. Mr. Douglas spent a night with us so that he could be with Sue in the court, and upset us all by refusing to shake hands with Dr. Smithson. She was only fined 30S. so that, at least, could have been worse.
