Composer of the Week: Liszt

on BBC Radio 3

They were a huge success, enabling him to donate 24,000 gulden to the flood relief fund. The concerts marked his return to the concert platform, and the acclaim Liszt received in Vienna assured his reputation as an unassailable virtuoso of the keyboard. Presented by Donald Macleod.
