Persepolis: Discovering the Music of Iran
Iran has a very ancient musical culture, and last year the members of the BBCSO, with conductor Pascal Rophe , spent a week exploring traditional Persian music and performing works written by Iranian composers. Persepolis culminated in a thrilling concert when the BBCSO was joined by the Dastan Ensemble and London Iranian musicians.
