View in Radio Times

Sydney Birch retired last year after, twenty-six years in the Fingerprint Department at Scotland Yard. He is fifty-five years old and was born in Yorkshire. In 1922 he went to Scotland Yard, where he met Fred Cherrill (now head of the Fingerprint Department) and with him built up one of the most celebrated partnerships in the C.I.D. Tonight Superintendent Cherrill and Detective Inspector Birch talk about some of the cases they worked on together.
