Easter Vigil

In this Easter Eve ceremony, the newly blessed fire, symbolising the Resurrection of Christ from the tomb, is brought into the darkened church. The baptismal water is blessed for the following year and a child is christened.
The first Mass of Easter Day begins at midnight.
