British Symphony Series: Robert Simpson
This week's programmes will complete the cycle of Simpson's 11 symphonies that began last week and will also feature selections of music recorded at this year's Royal Northern College of Music Brass Festival. Simpson's symphonic output began in 1941 during the Second World War. The first of today's two symphonies was written in 1977. Presented by Sandy Burnett. BBC National Orchestra of Wales
