This Time Last Year ' Bicycles for the Family' G. A. SUTHERLAND

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

The novel holiday that listeners are to hear about this evening should make its special appeal to those young married people who may suppose that a novel holiday of any kind is out of the question with a small child on their hands. Mr. and MrsSutherland,. however, toured Scotland on bicycles with a baby aged two in a carrier fixed in front of the father's bicycle.
He is to tell listeners of the thrill they had-old roads, old country, but new to them. They took canvas with them and camped as the mood took them; tea brewed on wood-fires and fragrant as it never is at home ; ling and lock and mountain theirs to gaze at. It was a holiday to recommend, for it was one of the best they ever spent.
