'Now that technology has taken human beings right into the heavens, into what our ancestors regarded as the very dwelling-place of God, is there still a place for religion? Or are we now so much controllers of our own destiny that religion no longer makes sense?
The Rev Donald Reeves, rector of St James's, Piccadilly, in London, believes it does, but it must be a religion which takes account of the real world.
