T ISTENERS have always derived much pleasure and profit from Lord Cottenham's periodical talks about motoring, its dangers and its technique, its joys and—above all-its duties. This is not his first talk about this last aspect of the hobby : he has always stressed the need for safe driving, and has probably averted many accidents by his warnings and exhortations. He has done a great deal for the cause of road safety. Besides being the author of two excellent books on motoring, he has been for the past three years Chairman of the ' Order of the Road.' This admirable organization is intended to further good-that is to say, safe-driving. It has at present 2,000 members : over ninety per cent of them go through every year of motoring without a single accident. Such a standard of driving is an ideal within anybody's powers. If you are interested, you should write to [address removed]. He will give you particulars of the Order.
